WILD SHORES is a trio formed in the early 90's by Evelyne HEBEY, Fred NOUVEAU and Marc ROQUES. Living in the beautiful area of Limoges (France), these technology freaks and nature lovers have built their studio and workshop in the wild, away from modern life city - but still in touch with civilisation via their internet site (www.stratocom.fr/wildshores), displaying their work in the field of contemporary art. Explorers of the world's infinite sound library, WILD SHORES have a most unique way to play with collected frequencies. They design unexpected but some how familiar landscapes where room is left for the listener to find his own view point. As multi-instrumentalists (keyboards, guitars, bass, percussions), their instinctive approach of electronics is not the usual "man-machine" equation that many young bands propose : their work is really warmer than that ! Listen to their opus : "HOMO HABILIS" and you'll find out that emotions do not depend on a transmission system and that life can be blown into integrated circuits. They treat the precious, basic musical material with novelty and originality, the result being closer to organic compost than recycling of so-called exoticisms. They add a primitive feeling to their artistic approach, thus favouring spontaneity and that mystery of creation which is the essence of human expression.
Since
a few years, WILD SHORES have also designed numerous amazing
audio-visual installations, using video, light and architectures
along with music. After "INSTANT MUSIC" (for
video installations), "HOMO HABILIS" is WILD
SHORES second album, but first to be commercially released
