In 1976, The SAINTS recorded and released on their own 'Fatal' label the songs : "(I'm) Stranded" / "No Time". Reactions to the single brought the band from obscurity in Brisbane (Australia) to the attention of british major record companies. The singer of this promising group was a young guy called Chris BAILEY.
With the SAINTS, Chris recorded three LPs : "Stranded" (1977), "Eternally Yours" (1978) et "Prehistoric Sounds" (1978) for EMI in London. But during this trilogy period, the band lived under real pressure and this was the main reason for their split up. By early 1979 BAILEY had returned to Australia and reformed the SAINTS. In 1981, they released the album "Monkey Puzzle"... and one year later, "Out In The Jungle". A handfull of SAINT's records have followed and are now parts of rock history.
During 1983-84, Chris BAILEY released two
solo albums. One was essentially a batch of demos. The other
was recorded live. They both included originals and covers and
were titled "Casablanca" and "What We Did On Our
Holidays".
1991 saw the release of "Demons". In spring 1992, Chris
cut his fourth solo album : "Savage Entertainment"...
